Muse is Meta's personal AI agent, introduced September 8, 2026 and marketed by Meta as 'The World's First Personal AI Agent Built for Everyone.' Unlike a chat assistant, Muse takes action: it helps people stay on top of things, absorbs tasks and projects, and turns long-term goals into action plans. It is powered by Muse Spark, Meta's most capable model, and runs on Muse Secure VM — a dedicated, isolated Linux virtual machine that houses the agent together with the user's data and its own full browser. Muse is reachable through the Muse app on iOS and Android, on the web at muse.ai, and directly in WhatsApp. Naming note: Muse Spark is the underlying model family (debuted April 8, 2026; Muse Spark 1.1 announced July 2026 powers the Meta AI app and meta.ai, with Muse Spark 1.3 released September 2, 2026), while Muse is the agent product built on top of it. Do not confuse Meta's Muse agent at muse.ai with Meta AI at meta.ai.
