Landing page builders publish pages around an offer and conversion goal. This comparison also includes form products and broader website or course platforms, with AI-first, AI-assisted, and conventional options clearly distinguished.
Quick answer - Paid-traffic testing: Unbounce starts at US$29/month; AI traffic optimization requires Optimize at US$249/month or approximately US$187/month annually. Conventional page publishing: Carrd Pro Lite starts at US$9/year, while custom domains and forms require Pro Standard from US$19/year. Landing-page optimization: Leadpages Grow is US$99/month or US$79/month annually, with up to six A/B variants per page.
Starting prices do not establish the cost of testing, lead capture, or AI optimization. Confirm the required tier, billing term, allowances, and add-ons before comparing subscriptions.
Evaluation methodology
This research-based comparison covers eleven selected products using vendor pricing, feature documentation, integration and export terms, and relevant external research. It does not claim hands-on testing of conversion rates, Core Web Vitals, or accessibility across the builders, or a documented twenty-candidate screening process.
Criteria include page and copy generation, experimentation, traffic and credit limits, forms and CRM connections, documented performance features, accessibility controls, and migration requirements. Currency is US dollars unless stated otherwise; annual prices are monthly equivalents where indicated.
The products serve different purposes. AI-first builders emphasize generation, AI-assisted tools add AI to existing publishing or conversion workflows, and Carrd is a conventional builder without native AI page generation. Product classification does not establish which subscription includes a particular feature. Vendor lift claims are attributed; checkout and reading-behavior studies are not direct tests of AI copy.

The 11 tools, reviewed
Unbounce
Unbounce is the conversion-optimisation platform most direct-response teams still measure themselves against, and its strengths and weaknesses both trace back to being built for paid traffic rather than organic.
Unbounce Smart Traffic routes visitors among variants based on modeled conversion probability. Its advertised 30% average conversion improvement is a vendor claim, not an independently established forecast for another website.
The pricing page lists Starter at US$29/month, Build at US$99, Experiment at US$149, and Optimize at US$249 before applicable billing discounts. Optimize has an approximately US$187/month annual equivalent and includes AI traffic optimization. Entry-tier publishing is therefore cheaper than the optimization configuration. Traffic, page, user, and domain allowances vary by tier; confirm overages and the selected billing quote.
Unbounce advertises MCP access across plans. Confirm which actions and permissions are supported rather than assuming that a connection provides complete autonomous experiment management.
The honest limitation: the “30% more conversions” figure is the single most-quoted number in this category and it has no published method. If your business case needs that number, build it yourself from your own baseline.
Instapage
Instapage is the enterprise-leaning landing page platform with the most concrete AI-testing story of the eleven, built around ad campaigns rather than long-term brand pages.
AI Experiments is the feature to look at. It generates content variants and runs them per audience or ad group, with an AI writing assistant covering headlines, paragraphs and CTAs, automatic traffic routing to the best-performing variant, and no page-load delay while variants compete. Critically, tests run server-side - visitors never see a flash of wrong content, which matters on paid landing pages where a flicker costs you the click you paid for.
Dynamic Text Replacement extends the same logic: copy and imagery swap from URL parameters so an ad for a specific city or keyword lands on a page that says so. Instapage frames this as AI-generated headlines and CTAs driven by UTM data. That is message matching, and it is closer to a real conversion lever than generative copy is.
Pricing: the Create plan is $99/mo, or $79/mo billed annually (the page states savings of up to 20%), covering 15,000 unique monthly visitors, with unlimited pages, conversions and contacts. Higher tiers are custom. The free trial caps at 2,500 visitors and requires a card.
The limitation: the visitor cap is the real bill. 15,000 monthly visitors sounds generous until a single successful ad push clears it, and then you are negotiating a mid-cycle upgrade.
Leadpages
Leadpages separates entry-level publishing products from its landing-page optimization platform.
Its August 20, 2026 plan documentation lists Grow at US$99/month or US$79/month annually, Optimize at US$199 or US$159, and Scale at US$399 or US$319. Grow supports A/B testing with up to six variants per page; higher tiers add optimization and collaboration capabilities.
The limitation: HTML Pub and other entry publishing prices should not be used as the price of an equivalent optimization deployment. Confirm domains, organizations, integrations, seats, AI credits, and variant limits on the selected plan.
Landingi
Landingi is the landing page builder that treats WordPress and WooCommerce as first-class citizens rather than an afterthought.
Its differentiator is Lunar AI, a page generator available on every plan including the entry Build tier, plus Solis AI Insights on Optimize and above and an Orbit MCP server on Scale. That last one matters in 2026: it means an agent can operate the builder directly.
Pricing runs Build at $24/mo annually, Optimize at $119/mo, Scale from $229/mo, and Enterprise from $1,199/mo. Server-side A/B testing arrives on Optimize. AI usage is metered in monthly credits - 2,500 on Build, 10,000 on Optimize, 20,000 on Scale, 60,000 on Enterprise.
The limitation: credit tiers are a metered meter on a tool whose headline feature is generating copy. If your team regenerates pages repeatedly, the credit ceiling becomes your real cost driver, and it is the number most people forget.
Kajabi
Kajabi is the all-in-one course platform where landing pages are a freebie bundled with the thing you actually bought.
Kajabi advertises Basic at US$143/month annually (US$179 monthly), Growth at US$199 (US$249 monthly), and Pro at US$399 (US$499 monthly), with unlimited landing pages and funnels. Confirm the chosen billing term and other plan limits.
Kajabi advertises plan-specific AI credits: 500 monthly on Growth and 1,000 on Pro, with separate top-ups. Features marked coming soon should not be treated as available. Its US card-processing schedule lists Basic at 2.9% + US$0.30, Growth at 2.8% + US$0.30, and Pro at 2.7% + US$0.30. Rates depend on country and payment method.
The limitation: there is no native A/B testing documented on the pricing page. For a business whose revenue depends on paid acquisition, buying a landing page platform without variant testing is a strange trade - and it is the strongest argument for buying two tools instead of one.
Webflow
Webflow is the website platform where landing page testing is an expensive add-on rather than a core feature, and the design quality is the reason you would tolerate that.
Site plans run Free, Basic at $15/mo yearly, and Premium at $25/mo yearly, with workspace tiers at Core $19/mo and Growth $49/mo. A/B testing lives in the Optimize add-on at $299/mo, which bundles up to 500,000 monthly page views, up to five concurrent optimizations, personalization, AI Optimize, audience insights and audience targeting. Analyze is a separate $9/mo.
That $299 is the number to hold onto. It costs more per year than Leadpages, Carrd and Dorik combined, and it buys testing rather than a website.
Code export requires an eligible paid Workspace; a paid Site hosting plan alone does not grant it. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and assets can be exported, but operational CMS, ecommerce, built-in forms, user accounts, site search, and other hosted features do not transfer as working functionality. Collection data needs separate handling, and exported code cannot be reimported as an editable Webflow project.
The limitation: AI credits are thin at 200–400 per workspace plan, $20/mo buys 2,000 more, and a full migration out is genuinely one-way.
Typeform
Typeform is the form-first platform that treats the question as the landing page, which is a different bet from showing a picture and a button.
The Typeform pricing page lists Basic at US$39/month or US$28/month annually, giving US$336/year at the annual equivalent. Plus is US$79/month or US$56 annually, Business US$129 or US$91, and Growth Flow US$379/month. Response and feature allowances differ; Basic includes 100 monthly responses and AI-powered form creation.
Contacts & Automations starts at an additional US$25/month for 2,400 actions, with a US$75 option for 12,000 actions. It requires an eligible higher-tier plan and is not a Basic add-on. Calculate the qualifying base subscription plus actions instead of presenting Basic plus US$25 as a usable configuration.
The limitation: there is no landing page testing here at all. Typeform is excellent at the form and silent on the page.
Podia
Podia is the creator-economy platform whose landing pages are one feature among nine, and whose real 2026 move was opening up to AI agents.
Plans are Mover at $42/mo billed annually, Shaker at $84/mo, and Earthquaker at $150/mo, with a 5% transaction fee applying on Mover only. Landing pages ship on every plan and Podia describes them exactly as you’d hope: focused, standalone pages for converting visitors into subscribers or buyers. Unlimited pages, reusable saved sections, native Google Analytics, and form handling through embeds.
Podia advertises MCP connections to supported assistants, plus email-service integrations and embeds. Confirm the supported actions, account permissions, and integration costs for the intended workflow.
Podia advertises export and migration capabilities. Confirm exactly which assets, customer data, and functioning features transfer before relying on a general portability claim.
The limitation: no native variant testing, and a free migration is capped at 50 products on Mover.
Dorik
Dorik offers AI page generation and source-code export; compare the selected plan and export scope before choosing it for portability.
The AI is explicit rather than implied: GPT-4 for text, DALL-E for imagery, an AI Quick Style feature for palettes and fonts, version history, and the ability to regenerate any individual section. Most importantly, AI Code Export produces clean, un-minified HTML, CSS, JS and media files.
Dorik advertises CDN delivery, image compression, minification, lazy loading, and code splitting. These features can support performance, but they do not establish measured Core Web Vitals results for a particular published site.
Pricing is unusually flexible: Personal $20.75/mo annually ($249/yr), Business $41.50/mo ($498/yr), Agency $79/mo ($948/yr), plus monthly pricing and lifetime deals at $249 and $599. Advanced SEO controls - robots.txt, schema, LLMs.txt - sit on Business and Agency.
Two small tells. The FAQ describes the free trial as both seven and fourteen days on the same page. And it still names First Input Delay, which Google replaced with INP. Neither is disqualifying; both suggest the documentation lags the product.
The limitation: there is no A/B testing anywhere on the pricing or feature pages. You get the page, not the verdict.
B12
B12 is the AI website builder that sells you optional humans, which is a genuinely different proposition from every other tool on this list.
The subscription tiers are Free at $0 (5 daily AI credits, capped at 30 a month), Website at $24/mo (100 AI credits monthly, up to 10 launched projects), and Website + Client Engagement at $78/mo (300 credits, up to 30 projects). Higher Professional and Advanced tiers are setup-fee models with a one-time fee. New customers are offered $1 for the first 7 days.
The AI surface is unusually wide: 200+ templates you remix by chatting, a Website Generator GPT, AI content creation, and an AI agent. What you are really buying at the top is the option to hire an expert and have it done.
B12 offers built-in client intake and contact management on Website + Client Engagement. Specialized forms and integrations may still require third-party services. Native A/B testing is not established here; accessibility integrations should not be treated as proof that generated pages meet every requirement.
The limitation: evaluate which intake and integration features are included in the purchased tier, and test the actual lead-routing workflow before publication.
Carrd
Carrd is a single-page builder so cheap it changes the shape of the decision, because at $9 a year the question is never whether you can afford it.
Carrd sells annual plans with included site allowances. Pro Lite starts at US$9/year; Pro Standard at US$19/year adds custom domains and forms; Pro Plus at US$49/year adds advanced forms and download options. Larger site allowances cost more. These are plan prices, not a uniform per-site fee.
Form integrations are the surprise. Carrd connects natively to ActiveCampaign, beehiiv, Brevo, Buttondown, EmailOctopus, GetResponse, Ghost, HubSpot, Kit, Klaviyo, Loops, Mailchimp, MailerLite, Mailjet, Omnisend, Resend, Sender, SendFox, SendGrid and Sendy - a list longer than several tools charging fifty times more. And on Pro Plus, download sites give you the files.
The changelog shows active development through October 2026, including native cookie-free analytics launched October 2, 2026.
The limitation: no AI page generation and no A/B testing. At this price that is an acceptable trade, but you are buying a page, not a programme.
Does AI copy actually lift conversion rates?
Evidence that generated copy consistently improves conversion rates remains limited. The research cited here does not directly compare AI headlines with human-written alternatives. Treat generated variants as hypotheses for appropriately designed experiments.
Baymard’s checkout-usability research estimates that improving checkout usability could lift conversion by approximately 35% for the average large ecommerce site. This illustrates the value of reducing friction; it is not an expected landing-page improvement or a measured effect of AI copy.
A Nielsen Norman Group analysis published in 2008 estimated that users typically read about 20% of webpage words during an average visit. It is a historical UX reference, not direct evidence about AI-generated marketing in 2026.
Measure published-page performance rather than assuming a builder guarantees it. Google’s Core Web Vitals define good thresholds as LCP at or below 2.5 seconds, INP at or below 200 milliseconds, and CLS at or below 0.1, assessed at the 75th percentile. Generation, image choices, scripts, embeds, and hosting can affect these measurements, but no performance test across these eleven products was conducted for this comparison.
Use representative mobile checks, stable image dimensions and font fallbacks, accessible forms, and message matching. Keep the offer clear and use experiments to assess whether a copy or design change improves the chosen outcome.
Does A/B testing still work when AI makes variants free?
AI can lower variant-production costs without solving sample-size or statistical problems. More variants create more opportunities for false discoveries, particularly when each receives little traffic.
For fixed-horizon tests, choose the primary metric, minimum effect of interest, sample size, duration, and stopping criteria before examining results. Proper sequential methods can support ongoing monitoring when their error controls are configured appropriately. Concurrent experiments require attention to overlapping audiences, interactions, and multiple comparisons.
The KDD 2022 experimentation paper discusses power, false discoveries, and inflated observed effects. Its numerical examples depend on assumptions; they are not universal visitor thresholds. The ASA statement on p-values also cautions that a p-value does not measure the probability a hypothesis is true or the practical importance of an effect.
Limited traffic may prevent detecting small improvements. That constrains testing, not the usefulness of a builder for publishing, lead capture, or design.
The cost vendors bury on page two
Three real costs hide behind the headline number, and all eleven tools have at least one.
Traffic ceilings. Instapage’s Create plan covers 15,000 monthly visitors. That is the number that will actually change your invoice, because a campaign that works will cross it. Unbounce applies overage fees above the tier limit too.
Action and credit meters. Typeform Contacts & Automations starts at US$25/month for 2,400 actions on an eligible higher-tier plan, not Basic. Kajabi and Landingi have plan-specific AI allowances and paid usage options. Model the eligible subscription and actual workload together.
Testing add-ons. Webflow’s A/B testing costs $299/mo on top of your site and workspace plans. Framer charges for its Convert add-on based on analytics events - page views, tracked-link clicks and form submissions each count - and caps A/B tests at five with the add-on.
Migration requirements. Webflow code export needs an eligible paid Workspace and does not transfer hosted CMS, forms, ecommerce, accounts, or search as functioning services. Dorik and Carrd provide export options on eligible tiers, while Podia supports specified data and asset exports. Verify the export scope and replacement hosting or backend work for each platform.
The asymmetry is the whole story. Leaving a platform that exports clean files is an inconvenience. Leaving one that exports files you cannot reimport is a rebuild. Price that in on day one, because migrating after a year of leads is a different project entirely.
Who should skip these tools entirely
Limited traffic may make small conversion differences hard to detect, but builders can still be useful for publishing and collecting leads. Choose an experiment plan based on the expected effect and sample size rather than an unsupported 5,000-visit cutoff.
If the offer lacks demand, a builder alone will not establish it. If an existing engineering workflow already meets publishing and experimentation needs, compare the operational benefits against subscriptions and migration costs.
Accessibility needs require review regardless of builder choice. WebAIM’s 2026 Million report found detectable WCAG failures on 95.9% of examined homepages, low-contrast text on 83.9%, and missing form labels on 51%. These findings span a million homepages and do not prove that AI builders caused the problems. Increasing complexity and AI-assisted development are discussed as possible trends, not established causes.
Final verdict: for paid acquisition, compare the eligible testing tiers of Unbounce, Instapage, and Leadpages. Leadpages Grow begins at US$79/month annually; its optimization price should not be confused with entry publishing products. Webflow adds a separate testing subscription. Carrd is a conventional low-cost publishing option, with forms and custom domains from Pro Standard. Select the required workflow and measure the resulting pages.
