What Grammarly (formerly GrammarlyGO) is
GrammarlyGO was a 2023-era generative-AI feature brand that is no longer used; Grammarly's generative features were folded into Grammarly's AI writing assistance and the newer Superhuman Go assistant. Grammarly itself remains the flagship AI writing product of Superhuman Platform. It works across more than 1 million apps and websites and serves millions of people.
Funding snapshot
In May 2025 Grammarly announced it had raised $1B in nondilutive funding from General Catalyst. Earlier rounds include $200M in November 2021 at a $13B valuation, $90M in 2019, and more than $110M by May 2017 (source: Wikipedia).
